INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY UNIT

OBJECTIVE

To provide expertise and services on application of ICT. This Unit is led by a Principal ICT Officer.

FUNCTIONS OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY UNIT

The Unit performs the following activities:

• Implement ICT and e-Government strategy;
• Develop and coordinate Integrated Information and Communication Technology in collaboration with E-Government Authority;
• Ensure hardware and software are well managed and maintained;
• Coordinate and provide support on procurement of software and hardware;
• Establish and coordinate use of electronic mail communication on LAN and WAN; and
• Carry out studies and propose areas of use ICT.
