RC Babu Receives Award from the Attorney General for Strengthening the Rule of Law in Kilimanjaro
The Kilimanjaro Regional Commissioner, Hon. Nurdin Babu, has received a special award from the Office of the Attorney General in recognition of the region's contribution to strengthening the rule of law, the delivery of justice, and cooperation with legal institutions.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award at his office, Hon. Babu expressed his gratitude to the Office of the Attorney General for recognizing the efforts being made by the Kilimanjaro Region. He noted that the award is an honor for the residents of the region and a motivation to continue upholding the principles of good governance and ensuring timely access to justice.
Furthermore, he stated that the Kilimanjaro Region will continue to collaborate closely with all legal institutions to enhance the delivery of justice services, increase public legal awareness, and build a society grounded in the rule of law.
Earlier, while presenting the award, State Attorney from the Attorney General's Office in Kilimanjaro Region, Ms. Tamari Mdeme, noted that the award was presented in recognition of the strong support provided by the Kilimanjaro regional leadership in enhancing legal good governance and improving access to justice services for citizens.
Ms. Tamari added that the cooperation provided by the Kilimanjaro Region, particularly through the Legal Advisory Committees, has continued to serve as a role model. It promotes accountability, strengthens legal dispute resolution, and lays the groundwork for lasting solutions to public grievances—a step that contributes to bolstering the rule of law in the region and the nation as a whole.
