The Attorney General (AG) of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Hamza S. Johari, participated in a formal ceremony to hand over recovered vehicles to SEMA Limited. The event took place at the Singida Regional Commissioner’s Office grounds.
Speaking during the event, the Attorney General stated that the handover was a direct result of the Legal Aid Clinic held from April 19 to 25, 2025, at the Old Bus Stand grounds in Singida Municipality.
Hon. Johari explained that his office received a complaint from Mr. Lameck Muyanzi, the Garage Manager of Sustainable Environment Management Action (SEMA). The complaint was directed against TAOMTRA Limited (specifically Hussein Mjili and Getruda Agripa Mwashambwa, a Court Broker) for the illegal seizure and sale of five (5) vehicles belonging to SEMA.
"We received the complaint from SEMA, and I assigned experts to handle it. The results are what you see here today," the Attorney General stated.
The Attorney General highlighted that the recovery was made possible through a joint effort involving; The Singida Regional Commissioner’s Office, The Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB/TAKUKURU), The Singida Regional Investigation Office., and The National Prosecuting Services (NPS) in Singida.
"The primary goal of the Attorney General’s Office is to resolve citizens' challenges through administrative and legal interventions to reduce the burden on the Judiciary," he added.
Hon. Johari reaffirmed that his office will continue visiting various regions to address legal grievances facing the public.
"We will continue to assist citizens in resolving their legal hurdles and restoring their smiles, as directed by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan," the AG emphasized.
Representing the Singida Regional Commissioner, the Singida District Commissioner, Hon. Godwin Gondwe, congratulated the Attorney General for his dedication to resolving legal issues in the region.

The Director of SEMA, Mr. Ivo Manyako, expressed profound gratitude to the AG and his team for their professionalism.
