The Attorney General of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Hamza S. Johari, has met with the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Tanzania, Mr. Andrew Lentz, and his delegation for talks aimed at strengthening diplomatic relations between Tanzania and the United States.

The meeting took place on August 20, 2026, at the Sub-Office of the Attorney General in Dar es Salaam. During the discussions, both parties focused on various development issues, strategic investment plans, and other areas of bilateral cooperation.

Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining ongoing dialogue, legal and professional cooperation, and sustainable diplomacy to advance shared priorities and foster a mutually beneficial partnership between Tanzania and the United States
