The Office of the Attorney General submitted the Government’s responses on The Written Laws (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No. 2) Bill, 2026 to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Administration, Constitution, and Legal Affairs on August 18, 2026, at Parliament Buildings in Dodoma.
The Attorney General, Hon. Hamza S. Johari, led a panel of legal experts in presenting the Government's responses regarding the proposed bill.
The Chief Parliamentary Draftsman, Mr. Onorius Njole, highlighted the laws targeted for amendment, which include:
- The Wildlife Conservation Act, Cap. 283
- The Local Government (District Authorities) Act, Cap. 287
- The Valuation and Valuers Registration Act, Cap. 138
- The Local Government (Urban Authorities) Act, Cap. 288
- The Land Use Planning Act, Cap. 116
