The Office of the Attorney General participated in the official opening of the SHIMIWI 2026 (Federation of Sports for Ministries and Government Departments) tournament, launched on 26 September 2026 in Kilimanjaro Region by the Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Hon. Paul Christian Makonda.

The games had already begun on 23 September 2026, involving employees from various ministries, departments, and government institutions.

Representing the Attorney General’s Office, Faith Minani, Director of Administration and Human Resources, congratulated staff for their efforts in the SHIMIWI tournament:

“On behalf of our leaders and management as a whole, I sincerely congratulate my fellow staff members for the commitment you are showing in these games. We expect victory from you,” said Faith Minani.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Sports at the Attorney General’s Office, Felix Mshama, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Attorney General’s Office for prioritizing sports, which he noted will help strengthen health and foster relationships among staff.

The SHIMIWI 2026 games are being held in Kilimanjaro Region, officially launched on 26 September 2026, and will continue until 7 October 2026 across various sports venues in Moshi town.
