PARLIAMENTARY STANDING COMMITTEE ON GOVERNANCE, CONSTITUTION AN LEGAL AFFAIRS COMMENDS INNOVATION AND REFORMS IN THE LEGAL SECTOR DURING PRESENTATION OF THE 2026/2027 BUDGET FRAMEWORK.

The Standing Committee of Parliament on Governance, Constitution, and Law, chaired by the Committee’s Vice-Chairperson Hon. Edwin Enosy Swalle, has approved and passed the Budget Framework for the financial year 2026/2027 of the Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs and its institutions. The meeting was held on March 28, 2026, in Dodoma.

The framework contains priorities aimed at strengthening the legal sector through operational reforms and accountability, positioning it as a central pillar of national development in achieving Vision 2050.

Its presentation and approval mark an important step toward the final preparations for the Budget Speech, which will soon be officially delivered during the Parliamentary Budget Session of the United Republic of Tanzania.

Also present at the meeting was the Deputy Attorney General, Hon. Samwel M. Maneno, along with other leaders from institutions under the Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs.
