OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY IN STYLE
The female staff of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) joined thousands of women across the country on March 8, 2026, to celebrate International Women’s Day with a powerful show of solidarity and purpose.
In the Dodoma Region, the celebrations were held in Kongwa District, led by the Regional Commissioner, Hon. Rosemary Senyamule. Women from various institutions participated in a vibrant procession, carrying banners with messages advocating for women’s participation in leadership and their vital role in national development.
Speaking during the event, Ms. Esther Cheyo, a Legal Secretary from the Office of the Attorney General, expressed her gratitude to the OAG management for their unwavering support in ensuring that female staff could participate fully in the commemorations.
"We offer our sincere thanks to our leaders for the cooperation they have shown us. Their support has made it possible for us to stand together on this significant day," said Ms. Cheyo.
In her remarks, Senior Office Assistant Ms. Kalua Kanyika highlighted that International Women’s Day serves as more than just a celebration; it is a vital opportunity for women to network and address systemic challenges.
"International Women’s Day is a crucial platform for women to meet, discuss the challenges they face, and brainstorm lasting solutions to those hurdles," noted Ms. Kalua.
The 2026 International Women’s Day was celebrated under the theme: "Rights for Women and Girls: The Foundation of Inclusive Development towards Vision 2050."
