MANYARA RESIDENTS CALLED TO ACCESS LEGAL SERVICES

Residents of the Manyara Region have been urged to turn out in large numbers for the launch of the Regional and District Legal Advisory Committees and a free legal clinic. The event, held in Hanang District, aims to provide citizens with essential legal aid at no cost.

The call was made on January 19, 2026 by Ms. Neema Ringo, the Director of Coordination and Advisory Services from the Office of the Attorney General, during the "Mseto wa Leo" program aired on Manyara FM Radio.

“These committees will be permanent, established to listen to and resolve the legal challenges facing citizens. I urge all residents with legal issues to utilize these committees to find lasting solutions,” explained Ms. Ringo.

Supporting this initiative, Mr. Lameck Buntuntu, the In-charge State Attorney from the Office of the Solicitor General and Chairperson of the Manyara Regional Legal Advisory Committee, stated that the primary goal of these committees is to ensure that public complaints are addressed promptly.

Furthermore, Ms. Neema Gasabile, Head of the Legal Unit at the Manyara Regional Commissioner’s Office and Secretary of the Advisory Committee, noted that the Regional Office has been overwhelmed by a high volume of cases. She emphasized that these committees will ensure complaints are resolved in a timely manner.

The launch of the Regional and District Legal Advisory Committees in Manyara Region will take place at the Mount Hanang grounds in Hanang District. The Guest of Honor is expected to be the Manyara Regional Commissioner, Hon. Queen Cuthbert Sendiga. The launch will be followed by a free legal clinic running from January 19th to January 25th, 2026.
