30 State Attorneys from the Office of the Attorney General Graduate in Specialized PPP Certification Course
Thirty (30) Attorneys from the Office of the Attorney General have successfully completed a professional training program on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP Certification Course). The seven-day training took place in Arusha at the Lush Garden Hotel from April 9 to 15, 2026. The Guest of Honor during the closing ceremony was the Executive Director of the Public-Private Partnership Centre (PPPC), Mr. David Kafulila.
Consistent with one of the pillars of Vision 2050—to build a strong, inclusive, and competitive economy—the training emphasizes the importance of Public-Private Partnerships in mobilizing investment, innovation, and private sector resources for the implementation of major strategic projects.
The completion of this training will enhance the capacity of State Attorneys in the Office of the Attorney General regarding the vetting of strategic partnership contracts, negotiations, legal advisory on PPP matters, and the drafting of legislative amendments. These efforts are aimed at achieving a robust and inclusive economy while strengthening infrastructure and the investment climate in the country.
Furthermore, with the conclusion of this training, Tanzania is expected to rise from its current ninth-place ranking to a top-tier global position by increasing its pool of certified experts in Public-Private Partnerships.
During the course, the Attorneys covered various modules, including PPP project management, procurement processes, and the preparation of Public-Private Partnership agreements.
This phase marks the conclusion of a three-stage professional PPP certification series for the Office of the Attorney General. The first stage (PPP Foundation Stage) was held from February 3 to 6, 2026, in Dodoma, while the second stage (PPP Preparation Stage) took place from March 9 to 13 in Kibaha, Pwani Region.
